Why connect GTM
By connecting your Google Tag Manager account via OAuth2 you let DataNostro:
- Automatically create a server-side container in GTM
- Set the correct preview and production server URLs
- Verify the tag configuration
How to connect
- Go to Settings → GTM connection
- Click "Connect Google account"
- Select the Google account that has access to your GTM
- Grant access to the Tag Manager API
- On success you'll see "GTM connected ✓"
Tip: You can use a different Google account than the one you're signed in to DataNostro with. Just pick the right account during the OAuth login.
Disconnecting
You can cancel the connection anytime in the settings. Disconnecting doesn't delete any data in GTM — we only remove our API permissions.
Security
- OAuth tokens are encrypted (Fernet) in our database
- We only have read and edit access to containers
- You can revoke the permissions anytime, also in your Google Account Settings
